    Shopping & Necessities

When you moor at Great Haywood you are never far from local amenities and conveniences for life’s little emergencies

The local village of Great Haywood is home to a SPAR (including post office & ATM), pub, pharmacy, doctor’s surgery and a church.

The village is less than a one-minute drive or five-minute walk from the marina giving you easy access to essential supplies and is serviced by the Chaserider bus, numbers 826 or 828.

Further afield in Stafford and Rugeley, both less than 15 minutes drive from the marina, you will find your favourite larger supermarket chains and high street brands - perfect if you fancy a spot of shopping or need to pick something up that you can’t otherwise get from the village stores.

One of our moorers favourite spots for shopping is Canalside Farm, a farm shop that stocks locally sourced produce and has its own café. Located right at the entrance to Great Haywood Marina, the family run business has been keeping locals fed and watered for more than 30 years. Be sure to pick something up to bring back onboard with you for a tasty snack later on!
